Famous spaghetti recipes

1) classical/Desi Spaghetti

Spaghetti is a pasta in the form of long strings. Whether you are to cook or want to learn, you can make it more delicious by following this recipe step by step.                           

Ingredients

  • 400g of spaghetti or 3/4th of a 500g pack
  • 1onion(medium)
  • 3 garlic cloves(crushed)
  • 15g basil leaves(chopped)
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 350g tomatoes (chopped)
  • 140g mozzarella
Time: 35mins.                          Serving: Four

Instructions

1) put some oil in a pan and fry onions for 5 minutes while stirring occasionally. Add garlic and cook until onions change color to brown or golden.. Add tomatoes and half of the basil (7g). Cook for 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.

2) Take water almost full in a larger pan and bring it to boil. Add all of the spaghetti into it. Give it a stir and cook for 10 minutes according to pack instructions.

3) Put the drained pasta into the frying pan, pour sauce over it and give it a good stir. If the sauce looks thick, add some pasta water and if it is watery cook over low heat for a few minutes more.
4) Add mozzarella (in pieces) and remained basil leaves. Give a last good stir and your spaghetti is ready! Serve right away.

2) Vegetable Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1 pound/ lb spaghetti 
  • For garnishing (sliced Basil and grated Parmesan)
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Kosher salt and black pepper
  • Half tbsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 onion ( sliced)
  •  1 medium carrot ( chopped)
  • 1 can (30 o-z) diced tomatoes
  • 1 zucchini sliced
  • Half tbsp Italian tbsp 

Instructions/Method

  1. Cook spaghetti according to pack instruction and reserve one cup pasta water and then drain spaghetti.
  2. Heat oil and add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add carrot, red onion and zucchini ( cook for 6 minutes).
  3. Add tomato paste and then add diced tomatoes and season it with Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper. Cook over low heat for 11 minutes. Add spaghetti and reserved pasta water.mix them! 
  4. Garnish with basil and Parmesan. Serve after few minutes.
