Chicken Shawarma ( Middle Eastern)

AboutMiddle Eastern chicken shawarma is a delicious recipe.If you never had shawarma then you are truly missing out on a distinctive meal, a quick meal indeed. Here you will get to know how to make shawarma at your place.
Shawarma
  • Cook Time: 32 mins

Ingredients:
  • Eight pieces of boneless chicken thighs
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 large onion( thinly sliced)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup olive oil 
  • 3/4 tbsp of ground cumin, paprika, turmeric powder,  garlic powder, ground coriander each.
  • 1/2 tbsp ground cloves and 1/2 tbsp Cayenne pepper or as desired.

Instruction:

Cut chicken thighs(boneless) into small pieces then add spices, lemon juice and olive then marinate it for atleast three hours. In case, if you don't have enough time, you can bake without marinating.Still delicious!

  1. Mix cumin, turmeric, coriander, paprika, garlic powder and cloves in a small bowl. Keep this aside.
  2. Season chicken thighs with salt on both sides and cut them into small pieces. Now add slices,onions,olive and lemonjuice. Refrigerate for three hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 400 degree F and then put the marinated chicken and roast it for 30-32 minutes.
  4. Make 6 pita pockets open them up and add tahini sauce and chicken shawarma. Bravo your shawarma is ready. Serve immediately!
